When the event starts, you'll be randomly assigned to one of our four teams: Blue Audril, Green Trido, Red Dovu, or Yellow Sharshel. We'll do our best to mix things up and ensure you won't be on the same team each year. Don't miss out sign up by June 24th, 23:59:59 IcePets Time!



For those who are new (or simply don't remember how it works), here's a basic rundown of the Team Contest: the four Teams are Blue Audril, Green Trido, Red Dovu, and Yellow Sharshel. Once the competition begins, Users can complete quests and restock Items to earn points for their respective Teams. At the end of the contest, the winning Team will receive some awesome prizes -- and even if you don't win, you'll have some points to spend at the Team Contest Shop.

Restocking includes all NPC Shops except for the Snow Jar Igloo and Port Rakor. Terrafrostians will receive points for restocking Items at the included Shops, but the number of points you'll earn will vary depending on the rarity of the Items you buy. Here's how many points each rarity category will reward:

Rarity 1 = 1 Point
Rarity 2 = 2 Points
Rarity 3 = 4 Points
Rarity 4 = 7 Points
Rarity 5 = 10 Points



Quests points are based on the items being requested, rather than a set amount of points per quest completion. You can use Quest extenders to help your questing go a little smoother, but only the first 70 quests completed each day will award points. This will minimize the potential advantage Iced Account Terrafrostians might gain, promoting a more balanced competition.



Chips are the final method Terrafrostians can use to earn points for their teams. They come in eight different varieties, the Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Team Chips.

Each Chip can be turned in to your Team Leader for a set amount of points:

Blue, Green, Red, Yellow Chips = 5 Points
Bronze Chip = 10 Points
Silver Chip = 15 Points
Gold Chip = 20 Points
Team Chip = 25 Points

Every Chip can be turned in to a Team's Leader regardless of its colour. So a player on Team Blue Audril will be able to turn in the Red Chip for 5 points, as an example.

All of the chips with the exception of The Team Chip restock in all NPC Shops (except for the Snow Jar Igloo and Port Rakor) and can be obtained as rewards from Quests. The Team Chip however must be created - if you have a Blue, Green, Red and Yellow Chip in your Inventory, your Team Leader will have the ability to combine them to create a Team Chip!

The herds are on the move and their numbers are exploding. Novice and expert hunters alike will have an easy time taking game if they stick to tall grasses and rocky outcrops.

Sunparched Prowl
Sunparched Prowl, one of Flight Rising's quarterly "micro-holidays", is in full swing! From Thursday, June 12th (06:00 Server Time) to Monday, June 16th (06:00 Server Time), all players will experience a couple of battle-related boosts!


Bountiful Battles
For the duration of Sunparched Prowl, all Coliseum enemies will have the chance to drop meat food items in addition to their normal loot. Other site activities such as gathering, breeding, bonding, brewing, and visiting some of the trading post dragons will also yield a chance at meat! Dragon clans everywhere are taking this time to stock up on shanks, flanks, ribs, haunches, steaks, and more to keep them satisfied until the autumn.

Battle EXP Boost
During the event, all battles will yield 50% additional EXP, so now is a perfect time for dragons to train. Grab your newest team and head out into battle!



A Swarm of Treasures!
Dragonkind are not the only ones taking advantage of the burgeoning herds and expanding flocks. As the savannas, forests, and tundras play host to many more hooves than usual, calculating cats join the prowl. A couple species of wildcat use their expert eyes and noses to track small and large game alike, including the Grasslands Chimera. For the duration of Sunparched Prowl, the lynxes will drop fairly commonly in the Coliseum and rarely during Hunting. Once the herds numbers have been responsibly culled, they'll go back into hiding, but there's always a chance you may run into one or two while Hunting. The chimeras will also drop from the Coliseum and rarely from all type of gathering activities.

A vista and scene have a chance to drop in the coliseum and many other site-related activities.

Tailoring - Level 4
Sophie's Splendid Stitches has begun to train dragon clans who have dedicated time to tailoring to attempt more challenging patterns. Level 4 tailoring is now available and the following patterns have been added:

Alexia and Alice have both summoned new forces to the Battlefield!




It's not looking too good for Alexia's Palace, as it has sustained quite a bit of damage already. Alice has now called upon her Binary Defenders to attack the Castle with all their might!














Some of Alexia's Hex Larva have grown enough to be big monstrous Mutated Hex Insects! It is said that a simple buzz of their wings are powerful enough to destroy an entire army of Alice's binary warriors!


Each side's forces continue to grow more powerful by the minute! Who will prevail in this War for the Moon? Go help your team at the Palace of Alexia!

Strength does not increase after each fight with these monsters.

How Far We've Come

We're here with you to celebrate twelve successful years together. The community that has been fostered and the creativity of the dragon clans of Sornieth continues to surprise and delight us each day. While the world around us is ever-changing, it is a joy to be able to return to Flight Rising each day to continue to build this world of fantasy, friendship, and dragons!

We are incredibly grateful for the daily interactions, creativity, jokes, stories, artwork, feedback, and community that the players of Flight Rising make possible. This game has been a labor of love, and seeing the community here flourish makes it all worth it!

A Summary of our 12th Year:

• We launched 3 new dragon breeds: Fathom, Everlux, and Cirrus dragons!
• Arlo¢s Ancient Artifacts opened up the Fossilized Flora digsite, full of 20 new petrified curiosities.
• We introduced a new way to bring your dragons to life, with Dragon Effects!
• Our existing ancient breeds got a slew of expansive new gene options:
  • Aberration Dragons received 8 new genes
  • Aether Dragons received 68 new genes
  • Auraboa Dragons received 6 new genes
  • Banescale Dragons received 14 new genes
  • Dusthide Dragons received 12 new genes
  • Gaoler Dragons received 21 new genes

• We launched the reflection scroll, with the ability to flip your dragon's orientation horizontally.
• We incorporated your feedback into a bevy of Quality of Life improvements and adjustments:
  • Baldwin's Bubbling Brew Levels 15-19 were rebalanced to allow for a smoother leveling experience and reduced material components.
  • We made excellent headway on our efforts to make the site more accessible to screen readers and keyboard navigation. This is an ongoing task and we will continue to work to expand the accessibility of our site.
  • Hibernal Den tasks display 15 tasks at a time.
• 222 new pieces of apparel were created. Among them we added the stunning moth capes, new chicken breeds, saboteur's armor, hobby jars, pirate jewelry, monster hunter garb, plant adornments, ball jointed marionette limbs, wands, wild birds, tradesdragon, and apparel to celebrate the elemental holidays!.
• 10 vistas were added to the game, allowing players to showcase the places they've been and activities they've done in Sornieth
• 9 New Scenes were added for your dragons to visit.
• 113 New Familiars were added for you to befriend.
• 12 new modern genes were introduced:

• The Boneyard venue of the Coliseum was introduced, full of new familiars, food, and trinkets.
• The Warrior¢s Way yearly event expanded with 53 battle-tested items for the brave!
• The Pirate Week yearly event expanded with 24 new nautical items to add to your treasures!
• The Night of the Nocturne yearly event expanded with 40 new enchanted items to bespell you!
• The Love is in the Air yearly event expanded with 5 new sweet items for you to love!

New Craft: Tailoring
Sophie's Splendid Stitches is our brand new tailoring feature. Dragon clans can turn their unwanted items into thread. This thread can be used in sewing patterns to create new color variations of apparel. As your clan advances in skill (under Sophie's guidance) they will have access to more patterns, allowing them an even greater range of garments for your fashionistas to wear!


Dragons may bring their extra items to Sophie, who will spin their trash into treasure!

• Food*, Materials, and Trinkets can be spun into Simple Thread. They will spin into simple thread every time. There is no randomness in Sophie's skilled hands, and she has so many of them!
• Familiars* and Apparel can be spun into Fine Thread. They will spin into fine thread every time.

*As always, the lore behind the reduction of any living thing into a material is that the creature is donating hair, fur, scales, or scraps to the creation of the item.


This shop will be a year-round fixture in the Trading Post, and is launching with 3 levels of tailoring to practice your skills with. As it will take some time for dragon clans to advance in skills alongside Sophie, we opted to keep the initial amount of tailoring levels more manageable. That said, we will be adding more tailoring levels and patterns in future updates this year. We may have heard a rumor that more advanced patterns may become available as soon as Sunparched Prowl... but don't tell anyone we told you.

Galore has unique gifts for collectors this Anniversary! If you wish to make additional copies of these items, you can brew the familiar through Baldwin's Bubbling Brew, and the apparel through Sophie's Splendid Stitches.
